Large Animal Services:
Our veterinarians service a large number of dairy, beef and small ruminant clients. We have fully equipped veterinary trucks to provide on-farm care 24 hours per day. We provide complete herd health including biosecurity, preventive medicine, reproduction, nutrition, and disease diagnostics; as well as sick animal and emergency services. We want to remind all of our established clients a program where by you can order needed medicines over the phone and they will be delivered (usually the next day) by FedEx, direct from our suppliers. The average savings by using this method will save you about 15% over our "regular" prices. Call the clinic to arrange a drop shippment order, or get more information.
Notice to Producers of Organic Products:
This is to inform you, the producer, that we at Kennebec Veterinary Service respect your decision to produce a product to be marketed as organic. Whereas we are a source and supplier of drugs and medications that are prohibited for use in the production of organic products, we will not sell any prohibited medications to those farmers utilizing an organic market for their products. Exceptions to this rule will be only in cases where, after a veterinary examination, it is deemed as necessary to save the life of an animal. Records will be kept by us on these animals to make sure they are removed from organic production.
Organic production is based on preventative health and exceptional husbandry. As your herd's health providers, we at Kennebec Veterinary Services, highly recommend regular meetings with you to discuss your herd's health, address specific concerns and formulate plans for continued success.
